We supply titanium clad copper in various dimensions. This material consists of a copper core with an approx. 0.8 mm thick, tightly rolled titanium sheath. This provides the chemical and physical resistance of titanium with the conductivity of copper. Titanium has a conductivity of 0.6 A/sqm, whereas copper has 4 A/sqm, making this material suitable for all applications (e.g. frames for hard anodizing) where high conductivity is required. With titanium-coated copper, a much lighter and slimmer frame construction can be selected with significantly better conductivity. The so-called TICU is available as bar material and must be tightly welded with small cover plates at the cut edges. Comparable material in the form of titanium-coated aluminum is also available.
